I’ve had several requests to share pictures from my Book Launch party in NYC. Yes, everyone wants to see MOM! 🙂
Here are our few my photographer and dear friend Sandy Hechtman shared with me so far (hopefully I’ll have the rest in a couple weeks):
I had almost 80 attendees at the soiree – all family and close friends. It was a wonderful evening although I was so busy, I barely talked to everyone and I didn’t get a chance to enjoy any of the food! Now I know how a bride and groom feel at their wedding! ha, ha, ha,
So this is kinda crazy – I’ve had the same editor for 3+ years: Marsha Brofka-Berends. She started out editing management blogs for my consulting/training company, Val Grubb & Associates, Ltd. I then launched the Travel with Aging Parents site and she expanded her duties to include editing those blogs as well. Then, here comes Planes, Canes, and Automobiles and her duties grew once again to include lead editor on PCA. Now, the crazy part?
I’ve never Marsha until this party!
I know, rather daring but really, there’s not been a need to meet in person as we’re both able to communicate our thoughts via email! Yep, that’s right – we also don’t talk on the phone (we may have spoken once or twice when we were first starting out, but I can’t even remember those calls!). We have a great relationship and my editor at Greenleaf Book Group loved her work as well!
Of course Mom was in her prime – flirting with all the men at the party!
In action signing books! It was rather surreal to be honest – having someone ask you to sign something that I had actually written.
The focus on the evening was really eating and drinking, but I did get up and say a few words to everyone who came.
Mom was having an awesome time as well hanging with dear friends:
The real treat of the evening though was having my entire family in town for the event! My Book Launch party could not have gotten any better! I love them all so much!
Thank you to the entire TWAP family and everyone who has helped make this dream a reality! It has been a dream come true. Love to all! More pictures to follow.
