We stayed at a beautiful hotel, the Hermitage, had lunch at a fun Blues place (Bourbon Street Blues) then went to the Grand Ole Opry that night (see my Day 1 blog for the full synopsis). On Day 2, we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame and checked out several bars and restaurants (Southern Steak & Oyster, Barlines in the Omni Hotel, Benchmarks and Puckett’s Grocery). Unfortunately, I had to start work the next day so Mom headed home.
One thing we learned about Nashville, Music City loves their neon! And oh how Mom and I ate it up! 🙂 It’s fair to say we fell in love with neon, to the point we are genuinely looking to get custom neon signs from Sketch & Etch for at home.
Along Lower Broadway in downtown Lower Nashville, their is an area that certainly put Vegas to shame. Check out our favorite neon signs of Nashville:
And our absolute FAVORITE neon sign along the strip was Tatyana’s, a retro vintage clothing shop:
LOVE the red lips! Here’s a still shot of our Girl – isn’t she GORGEOUS?!?!
If you find yourself in Music City even just overnight, it’s definitely worth cruising Lower Broadway to see all the neon signs of Nashville. It seriously was it’s own tourist site! Enjoy!
