It’s been a while since the last update on my book: Planes, Canes, and Automobiles: Connecting with Your Aging Parents Through Travel. All principal writing is done and into the publisher, Greenleaf Book Group. The manuscript has been through copy editing and is now undergoing two separate proof reads.
After that, Greenleaf starts the inside design work – meaning laying out the words into book form. Once the inside lay-out is completed, they print what’s called Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs for short). The ARCs are sent to retailers in an effort to entice them to pre-order the book when it publishes on 10/6/15. Retailers such as Barnes & Noble and even Amazon buy books 6 months in advance. Who knew a book takes this long to print?!?!
Now on to the fun part! I received today four potential designs for the book cover (aka the jacket)! I would love your input on which I should select! Please take a peek and let me know which you like (and why) as well as any that you don’t like (and why)!
I’ll share your votes and comments with the publisher and I’ll post the winning concept for the Planes, Canes, and Automobiles cover when it’s finalized! Thanks for your assistance!
